carrot horse treats

Ingredients

2 cups grated carrot

2 T vegetable oil

1/4 cup molasses

1 t salt

1 cup oat

1 cup flour

Method

1)preheat oven to 180 Celsius

2)mix carrot, oil and molasses together until well combined in a large bowl

3)add salt, oats and flour mix until combined it should be a sticky dough consistency

4)roll into 1'' balls then put on a tray lined with baking paper and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown

home made horse treats your horse will love them

Ingredients

1 grated carrot

1 t sugar

1/2 cup flour

1 cup oats

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup molasses

Method

1) preheat oven to 180 Celsius

2)put carrot, sugar and flour in a bowl and mix until the carrot is covered in flour and sugar

3)add oats, water and molasses and mix until flour is thoroughly mixed in

4)spray a baking tray with oil and spoon mixture on to tray

5)bake for 17-18 minutes but keep an eye on them after 15 minutes

6) let cool down and feed to your horse or pony



My ponies loved them one broke out of its stall to search for them and the other as soon as i opened the container stuck his nose in and scoffed them all!

Molasses horse treats

Ingredients

1 grated carrot
1/2 grated apple
3 cups oats
1 cup homemade applesauce (its better for the horse to make it you need 1 1/2 apples)
a few crushed oddfellows or other mild pepper mint candies
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 t sugar
1/2-1 water


Method

1)preheat oven to 180c on fan bake

2)chop 1 1/2 apples and put in a small pot with 1/2 cups water add more if needed (it won't turn into mush with not enough water) cover the pot and boil until it turns to mush

3)put the grated apple and carrot, flour, odd fellows, oats and sugar and mix until combined

4)add most of the apple sauce and all the molasses and mix until there is no powder left and and all the oats are covered in molasses



5)spray a pan with oil and put all the mixture in the pan and spread out until it s about 1'' thick





6)put in oven and bake for 10-15 minutes it should be starting to brown and completely dried out

7)let cool down then cut into cubes and serve to your horse or pony
